GAS Series Invades AMS for TWO DAY SHOW

Anderson, SC (March 13, 2006) - Coming off an extremely successful season opening event, the Georgia Asphalt Series (GAS) Pro Late Model Series heads to the 3/8th's mile Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, South Carolina, Saturday evening, March 25th. This will be the first ever visit to Rupert and Shirley Porter's fine facility. Two weeks ago forty one GAS Series Pro Late Models were on hand at Lanier National Speedway in Northeast Georgia. Joey Senter, the GAS Series' 2005 Champion was the winner of the 150 lapper.
Anderson’s regular race night is Friday night and that will continue this weekend with heat races in AMS local divisions to be followed by GAS practice. Friday’s activities will be FREE for those in the Grandstands.
On Saturday's race card, the Upstate 100 GAS event will provide 100 laps of green flag racing for GAS competitors. Over thirty cars will be vying for the 26 car starting grid. AMS local divisions – Mini Stocks, BM Modifieds and Legends will also compete. Gates open at 4PM and racing will begin at 8:00.
AMS is located off I-85 at Exit 27. Then north on SC 81.
